digital ENERGY - the German synth-pop duo, was founded at the end of 2000. David Erdmann and Bernd Kupke, friends from an early age, both grew up with Depeche Mode and Erasure. David also discovered De / Vision as role models for himself in the 90s and heard many well-known bands in the scene. In addition to his all-time favorite synth-pop, Bernd also turned to other genres of music (techno, rock, metal) and is curious about the unknown. These different influences immediately gave digital ENERGY its own style when both decided to make their own music together.

At the end of 2017 we (songwriter and singer David and lyricist and musician Bernd) decided that it was time for the next level. Rob Dust, a well-known and great producer (who has already worked for Vanguard, De / Vision, Camouflage, Eisfabrik, Solitary Experiments and many other well-known acts) was brought on board for the next single "Trust" and the second album "Tempest". We worked together on the completion and digital ENERGY finally landed the perfect match - we signed at INFACTED RECORDINGS.

The album "Tempest" tells stories of people, of feelings and also of what is wrong in the world. Every text comes straight from the heart. Together with Rob Dust, every single track on the album became a rousing piece of synth pop. As a special bonus, there are also 3 remixes by ES-23, Outsized and KAOS!.
